Jane helps women to find confidence, courage, and joy.

I’ve realized through all the years of working with horses that they are natural healers. Most of my life if I was having a bad day, I would go to the barn. And I would feel better when I left the barn. I knew horses had a way of healing the human heart. And I became interested in learning more about the healing power of the horse. In my search to find more about the healing power of horses that I have witnessed over the years I found Melissa Pierce’s Touched By A Horse program a few years ago. And I became certified as a Gestalt Coach. This program has changed my life. And with the knowledge I’ve gained from this program and all my life’s experiences, I help people to overcome their fears and anxieties. So they can reach their goals and do the things they really want to do in their life. I help them find confidence and joy.

I started riding horses when I was just 6 years old. I received a Christmas gift of riding lessons from my parents.  My parents apparently were tired of me treating our German Shepherd dog like a horse. I used to take my necklace and lead her around the house. When I was 10 years old my parents bought me a horse. He was a big beautiful black Saddlebred. I trail rode him and showed him Hunter Under Saddle, Western pleasure, Barrels, & poles. When I was 13 years old I bought a 2 year old Saddlebred. She was halter broke and I wanted to train her myself.  I had lots of adventures with my horse. At this time in my life I could be found riding through the fields and woods with my friends and their horses. When I was 16  I would get out of School early and I would spend my afternoons training horses and giving riding lessons. I trained all breeds of horses Saddlebreds, Arabians, Paso Finos, Peruvian Pasos and Paints. I trained the first Peruvian Pasos that were imported to Wisconsin from Peru.

When I was in my 20’s I started training and showing exclusively AQHA Show horses. I continued to train horses, give riding lessons, and coach students to compete on the Quarter Horse Circuit. I also started raising registered Quarter Horses. My husband and I owned a horse farm in Dalton WI,  We owned many Quarter Horse stallions. We usually had at least 20 broodmares foaling in the spring. My daughter and I traveled the nation showing at the AQHA shows. Many of the horses we showed were born and raised on the farm. I became an AQHA professional trainer and instructor. I enjoyed training and showing quality AQHA show horses that could compete at a National level of competition. I also showed horses that were owned by my clients. I have trained and shown horses that have been State Champions, Futurity Champions, World Qualifiers, Top Ten World, Top Ten Congress, and All Around Champions. I specialized in training AQHA all around horses. My students and I showed at the AQHA shows in,Hunter Under Saddle, Equitation, Western Pleasure, Horsemanship, Trail, Ranch Pleasure, and Showmanship….

To be able to compete at this level I used the best Farriers, Veterinarians, Chiropractors I could find. It was hard work to keep the horses competing at this high of a level. I realized when the horses were not performing right they were sore. But the trick was trying to figure out where they were sore and what could be done to help them.

I started doing Bodywork on the horses. I became certified as a Masterson Method Practitioner and Tallgrass Equine Acupressure Practitioner. I continued to train horses and give riding lessons, and also started an Equine Bodywork Business (Austin Equine Balance). Now I could help the horses to be happier, healthier, and sounder. They could be happy doing their jobs again. I was amazed at the results I was getting with clients' horses as well as my own horses. What I used to call poor conformation I soon realized was poor posture and restricted muscles. I also noticed the horses I was doing bodywork on were moving prettier than ever. The hunt horses had longer prettier trots. The Pleasure and hunt horses rocked up and used their backs better. My customers noticed how their horses seemed to be happier and riding better too.

I have always  enjoyed helping people find a deeper understanding and connection to their horses.
